"The only time we see each other is when we're coming and going." So many of our families live by this. In the door to get soccer cleats, out the door to practice. Out the door for work by 7am, in the door to catch a breath before LifeLight at 5pm. In the door to get a snack and pound out the homework, out to run the garbage to the curb, in to finish the homework, out the door to get to TAG on Wednesday. Crazy, the life we lead. God must be crazy, too. This is the very life He calls us to as His children. If we don't get used to it quick, we'll be lost in the midst of a churning sea of competing commitments. Pastor Seidler comes home to Concordia's pulpit this week after being gone for a bit with a sermon that strikes to the core of our Christian homes entitled, "Please, Let the Door Hit You on the Way Out."
