Our Ministry

Action Plan (MAP)

Our Ministry Action Plan (MAP), approved at the June 2009 Assembly meeting, sets our ministry prioritites from June 2009 - June 2011.  These ministry activities are aligned with our core values as a congregation, enabling us to maximize ministry in the way we "Touch people with Jesus Christ for healing and service".

The MAP is structured around five priorities referred to through the acronym 3CPO:

Community Life Development
Every baptized member is intentionally touched with Jesus Christ so as to heighten the sense and reality of their belonging to Jesus Christ.
Cohesion (Leadership)
Every professional and lay leader of Concordia’s ministry is intentionally touched with Jesus Christ so as to heighten their sense and reality of serving in a single, coherent movement of the Gospel mission through Concordia’s membership.
Coherence (Organizational Ministry)
Every individual aspect of Concordia’s ministry evidently reflects well and supports every other aspect of Concordia’s ministry.  In so doing we exponentially reinforce the values and strategy essential for faithfulness in our next season of ministry.
Process Clarification & Improvement
Everycritical process of Concordia’s ministry is identified, audited, validated, documented, and its implementation measured against a documented standard of excellence.
Outreach Development
Members of Concordia’s Core Worshiping Community visibly demonstrate an increasing commitment to create relationships which provide fertile ground for touching people with Jesus Christ for healing and for service.
To help understand how we put these into action, we focus on two siginificant questions:

“How do we ensure that every member of Concordia feels a sense of belonging?”

“How do we as a congregation and as individuals build inroads into our community to touch people with Jesus Christ for healing and service?”
The C3PO Strategy Going Forward

As we move forward into ministry with the key C3PO concepts, what does ministry look like at Concordia?
 Warm, Christ-Centered Worship
 Energizing Warm, Christ-Centered Communities
 Led by Warm, Christ-Like Leaders
Building Warm, Inroads in the Name of Jesus Christ to the World
