Annual Report

Greeting from Our Senior Pastor

Rev. Dr. Scott K. Seidler

“That everything might be done in good order.”  Applied first to issues surrounding worship but ultimately applicable anywhere in the Church, these words of the Apostle Paul come to mind as this annual report comes to you.  Concordia, Kirkwood, is a big place with a lot of stuff going on—ministry that matters and endeavors to make a difference in the lives of all sorts of people.  My personal prayer is that, as we go about the work to which God has called us, we do such ministry with increasing “good orderliness.”  Good order is indispensible to any good ministry.

Good communication lends to good order.  In some respects, good order is essentially about good communication.  This annual report represents the efforts of this congregation’s governing leadership to provide for clear communication about where we’ve been and, in some degree, how that past will play out in impacting the future.  In the end, this is a review of ministry in 2009 at Concordia, Kirkwood.  The staff and Church Council hope that the contents of this report are a fitting testimony to what God has done among us.  At the same time, we hope you also have a sense of what is shaping up on the horizon of 2010 and 2011—our next season of ministry.

Warmly,

Pastor Seidler
